Tru
Veterinary Technician
Tru Beery earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Iowa Lakes Community College, where she received extensive hands-on training in both small and large animal medicine.
During the program, she gained practical experience at Camp Foster working with horses, including blood collection, administering injections, and general equine care. She also went to a dairy farm running diagnostics on cattle and performing blood draws, expanding her knowledge of large animal health.
In addition, she participated in surgical procedures for the local humane society, assisting with patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery.
She has since worked at a couple different mixed veterinary clinics, further strengthening her skills in patient care, surgical support, and client communication. She has a strong passion for surgery and thrives in fast-paced environments.
Driven by her love for helping animals since she was a little kid, she is dedicated to providing compassionate care while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical setting. She takes pride in supporting her team and advocating for every patient she works with.
Outside of the clinic, she helps out on the farm she lives on, caring for chickens, cats, and fainting goats! She also remains committed to animal welfare and making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.
